Travel Funds

Students are encouraged to travel to meetings and conferences to present papers or posters. While a student’s mentor may have financial support to cover travel expenses, the CMB Program and Graduate School also offer travel awards.

CMB Travel Award
The Program provides travel funds for first- and second-year students, while they are funded through the Program. In general the funds are used to support growth and development in a student’s chosen field of study. First-year students will also use the funds to attend a retreat for training in the responsible conduct in research. To request travel funds students should contact the program administrator.

Graduate School Travel Award
To be eligible for this award a student must have passed all parts of the preliminary exam and is actively participating in a conference. Click here for application.
