ETHICS COURSE - 2006

WHAT TO EXPECT All first-year students are required to ride buses to the retreat. Buses will leave from Duke Medical Center parking garage PG III, on Pratt Avenue, off Fulton Street. (Click here for map.) Enter through the Patient/Visitor area. Park in the parking garage. There is no charge for parking; the gates will be open when students return on Sunday. If taking the bus is not feasible, please contact Trish McCoy, trish.mccoy@duke.edu. The course begins at 6:30 pm on Friday evening in the Main Auditorium. We will alternate between formal seminar sessions and more intimate in-depth small group discussions. Small groups consist of approximately ten incoming students, one faculty member and one graduate student TA per group. Each small group session will explore in more depth topics introduced in the larger forum. There will be about ten main topics covered over the weekend. We will head back to Durham at noon on Sunday.
