Elwood Linney, Molecular Genetics & Microbiology

This laboratory uses molecular, transgenic, genetic and computer approaches towards studying the regulation of genes during embryonic development with a particular focus on visualizing gene expression in developing zebrafish embryos and young fish. Our research has recently employed gene expression analysis using a 16,000 element oligomer microarray for examining questions of embryonic gene expression pathways and for using zebrafish embryos as biosensors for environmental toxicants.
