Michael Zalutsky, Pathology

Our laboratory is involved in the development of endoradiotherapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer. Ongoing projects include genetically engineered antibody fragments reactive with the mutant epidermal growth factor receptor variant III (EFFRvIII) and tenascin, labeled compounds binding to the NE transporter, thymidine uptake analogues, and radiohalogenation strategies to render molecules resistant to deiodinase and protease mediated degradation. Aspects of this work of potential interest to students include radiosynthesis, cell processing of labeled templates and microdosimetric studies on a cellular and subcellular level.
