Duke University requires that every student have a student health insurance policy. This health insurance is in addition to the mandatory student health fee. The student health fee covers many primary care services offered at the Duke student health clinic on campus. In the summer the Bursar’s Office will mail you information regarding Duke-sponsored health insurance. In addition, the Medical Registrar’s Office will mail you your Net ID Account, which will enable you to access your Duke e-mail account and the Automated Computer Enrollment System (ACES) Web site. It is on this ACES Web site that you will accept or decline the Duke-sponsored health insurance program.
